Write for us
Coastal County Review welcomes thoughtful proposals about county landscapes, settlements, routes, boundaries and place names. Send a pitch through the Contact page; we do not accept pitches by implication or treat them as commissioned work.
What we are looking for
We are interested in clear, original pieces that help a general reader understand how a place works or came to look the way it does. Strong ideas might compare two kinds of settlement, explain a map feature, or show how a route relates to the landscape. Keep the focus on one question and explain why it matters beyond a list of attractions.
A useful pitch
Tell us the proposed subject, the central question, the angle you would take and the material you expect to rely on. Include a short note about relevant experience or access to sources, without assuming that a proposal is accepted. Please flag uncertainties, contested interpretations and any relevant interests or affiliations.
Before you send
We value accurate, readable writing and careful distinctions between observation, interpretation and documented fact. Do not submit confidential material, unsupported claims or work that requires readers to rely on local rules or specialist advice. Proposals are sent through the Contact page, where you can select the editorial enquiry option.
